This Seto-yaki mizusashi (water container) features a spiraling shape, glazed in the classic yellow and green ki-seto (黄瀬戸) style.
A mizusashi (水指 - fresh water container) is used to store fresh water used to refill the kama (釜 - kettle) during a tea ceremony. They are usually made from ceramics, lacquer, or occasionally bare wood.
