Ōju (鷹樹 - Eaglewood) is one of Yamadamatsu’s finest and most intense blends, with an opulent and meditative scent profile built around a complex core of Kalimantan aloeswood. While this amazing wood is solidly at the forefront, the spice mix takes this stick down a different path than many other high-end aloeswood blends, with a savory nutty, buttery note that compliments the refined bitterness of the aloeswood. Unabashedly dark, thick, and resinous, Ōju is like a black void that you can lose yourself in.
