This Banko-yaki kyusu (teapot) features a finely tooled tochiri scale-patterned exterior with floral motifs.
This teapot comes with an obi-ami 360 degree filter made of fine stainless steel mesh that wraps around the entire inside of the pot.
Banko-yaki (萬古焼) is a type of Japanese pottery that traditionally comes from Yokkaichi in Mie Prefecture, Japan. Its characteristic purple hue comes from the mixture of red oxidised iron and blue high temperature-baked iron in the clay.
