This shallow hira-gata Koishiwara natsu chawan (summer matcha bowl) has a beige glazed interior and a milky white glaze on the exterior which drips slightly over the lip to the inside. Made by Harahiko Kiln (原彦窯).
Koishiwara-yaki (小石原焼) is a type of Japanese pottery traditionally from Koishiwara, Fukuoka Prefecture. The pottery tradition here dates back to the 17th century.
