This tenmoku-gata Kyo-yaki chawan (matcha bowl) features a beige exterior glaze decorated with chrysanthemums respresenting the Japanese Imperial family and the paulowinas, originally the mon (crest) of the Toyotomi clan but now used to represent the Japanese government. Its deep black interior glaze beautifully contrasts with the green color of matcha. Made by Kiyama (貴山)
