This hantsutsu-gata Kyo-yaki chawan (matcha bowl) features a smooth beige glaze decorated with chrysanthemums representing the Japanese Imperial family and the paulownias, originally the mon (crest) of the Toyotomi clan but now used to represent the Japanese government as well.
