This exquisite Hagi-yaki chawan (matcha bowl) features a hantsutsu shape with a sloping koshi (腰 - lower back) and a tall bamboo node-shaped foot (竹の節高台 - takenofushi kōdai). Atop the iron-rich clay, this chawan sports a milky white glaze with grey undertones with subtle beige and pink spots in a pattern called gohonte (御本手).

This chawan was made by Tamasa Hirose (廣瀬淡雅) of Tenbouzan Tsubaki Kiln (天鵬山 椿窯). The chawan ships with its original kiribako (桐箱 - wooden paulownia box).
