This Japanese Kyo-yaki tea ceremony set includes one chawan (matcha bowl) and one matching kensui (waste water bowl). Both handmade by the same artist, these Kyo-yaki wares feature groovy, spiraling bodies with a beige glaze that fades towards pink.

Kyo-yaki (京焼) is a type of Japanese pottery that traditionally comes from Kyoto, Japan. The pottery traditions of Kyoto date back to the 5th century and are varied in their styles.
