This Banko-yaki tea set includes one kyusu (teapot), one katakuchi (water cooler), and two yunomi (teacups) each featuring an unglazed exterior with floral engravings. The teacups features a white inner-glaze at their base, and the teapot sports a built-in ceramic debeso filter that's perfect for naturally straining tea.

Banko-yaki (萬古焼) is a type of Japanese pottery that traditionally comes from Yokkaichi in Mie Prefecture, Japan. Its characteristic purple hue comes from the mixture of red oxidised iron and blue high temperature-baked iron in the clay.
