This uniquely tiny Banko-yaki tea set includes one kyusu (teapot), katakuchi (water cooler), and five guinomi (teacups) made from classic purple clay. The teapot features a built-in ceramic debeso filter and the teacups sport a white inner-glaze at their base.
Banko-yaki (萬古焼) is a type of Japanese pottery that traditionally comes from Yokkaichi in Mie Prefecture, Japan. Its characteristic purple hue comes from the mixture of red oxidised iron and blue high temperature-baked iron in the clay.
