This elegant Kiyomizu-yaki porcelain lidded yunomi (teacup) is decorated with shippo (七宝) crests and pine trees along the rim and lid that are delicately hand-painted in blue. Under this painted rim, the cup is further decorated with a vertical fluting pattern called sogi (そぎ) also called sogime or sogimon.

Lidded cups are useful for keeping dust out of your tea while also trapping aromas and heat.

Made by Ryōhō Kiln (陵峰窯)
