Japanese Kyusu - 玉龍 Gyokuryu Umehara - Benishibori Tokoname Teapot - 180ml

This exquisitely crafted Tokoname-yaki kyusu (teapot) is made from a deep brown Tokoname clay, decorated in a benishibori (紅しぼり) pattern, emulating the natural striations of shibori-dyed Japanese textiles.

This kyusu's classic shape makes it suitable for all types of tea.

Its built-in ceramic sasame filter is perfect for naturally straining tea, with a wide shape for faster pouring and less clogging.

Made by master craftsman Umehara Jiro, who makes pottery under the name Gyokuryu Umehara (玉龍).
