This Kyo-yaki chawan (matcha bowl) has a classic hantsutsu-gata shape with bold herame (箆目 - tooling marks) that give it an angular, faceted appearance. The bowl features a matte grey glaze over which is draped a cool blue-white glaze that exhibits glaze crawling in a style called shiro kairagi.
