This fukusa-basami (袱紗挟み - cloth wallet) is hand-woven from red silk with a simple motif, made in the traditional Japanese tapestry weaving technique called tsuzure-ori (つづれ織). This smaller size is designed for women.

Fukusa-basami (袱紗挟み), also called kaishi-ire (懐紙入れ), are small silk wallets used by guests in a tea ceremony to carry small items, such as kaishi paper, fukusa, kobukusa, folding fans (sensu), and kuromoji/yoji. They can also be used for carrying personal items in other formal or casual settings.
