This beautiful handmade glass hira-chawan (flat, summer style matcha bowl) has a flat wide shape, ideal for use in warmer months where it allows the tea to cool quickly. The clear glass is accented with a swirling blue, tinted the vibrant hue of lapis lazuli (瑠璃 - ruri). The outside of the bowl has a subtle texture, but the inside is perfectly smooth for easy whisking.
