Description

This spouted chawan (matcha bowl) features a wide, open shape for easy whisking and inward-sweeping walls that prevent matcha from splashing over the sides. The outside is decorated with a fluted pattern called shinogi (しのぎ) filled with white slip.

Made by Shōmura Kanji (正村寛治) of Shōtōen (正陶苑).
